An Associate Dean of Academics is a high-level administrative position at the School. The Associate Dean of Academics is responsible for overseeing the academic programs and initiatives. This includes setting curriculum standards, developing and implementing academic policies, and working with faculty and other staff to ensure the quality of the institution's educational offerings.
Key Accountability:
- Developing and implementing academic policies, procedures and standards as per National Education Policy (NEP) under the leadership of the Dean - Academics
- Developing a road map in consultation with Dean for phased implementation across the school Setting curriculum standards, credit load, performance criteria, and graduate attributes for the programs at School
- Working with the Dean of the School to allocate appropriate academic resources across the programs.
- Assisting with the development of new academic programs and initiatives-Academic & Operational
- Facilitating collaboration and partnerships with other academic institutions and organizations.
- Advocating for academic programs and initiatives within the school and to external stakeholders.
- Ensuring compliance with accreditation standards and other regulatory requirements.
- Supporting the Dean in presenting Academic matters, programs, examinations, and qualifying criteria to the Academic Council
- Facilitating the resolution of academic disputes or grievances at the school level in consultation with the Dean of Academic Affairs.
- Participating in academic planning and decision-making processes at the school level.
- Allocation of Faculty Resources across the Programmed including Visiting / Adjunct / Emeritus / International Faculty.
- Management of Timetable and obsessional planning for the Term / Calendar Year / Academic Year.
- Responsible for collecting, analyzing, and presenting Insights from Student Feedback.
- Responsible for periodic communication to parents and students on their attendance and performance
- Presenting the Student Performance and result to the appropriate authority for students' graduation along with COE.
- Supporting the Dean of the School in ranking and Accreditation exercise.
- Working with CIAP Team for looping in Industry Feedback and ensuring the curriculum enhancement
- Working with the Alumni Network, building chapters, and developing program-specific network and alumni mentor programs for the school in collaboration with the University Alumni Affairs.
- Smooth conduct of all employment readiness programs in coordination with CIAP
Requirements:
- Minimum experience of 10-15 years in relevant field
- Preferably a Ph.D. from a Top 50 NIRF University / Top QS ranked University.
- Candidate must be the Associate Professor / Professor in Management Education.
- Should possess a high level of Analytical Skill and the ability to present data and insights in both Tabular and Visual forms.
- Should possess adequate knowledge of compliance norms under various regulatory bodies and accrediting agencies.
