Job Summary
RBC Insurance is hiring for an Associate Director - Actuary, Group Benefits and Travel Insurance in Mississauga, Ontario. This role involves performing month-end valuations, earnings analysis, and experience studies for Group Benefit products, as well as mentoring and developing staff. The position also requires contributing to IFRS17 actuarial financial reporting and providing insights on emerging financial results.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities Must Have:
Performing IFRS17 month-end valuations for Group Benefits and Travel Insurance
Analyzing earnings by source to explain key drivers of results.
Conducting actuarial experience studies and making recommendations to management.
Contributing to IFRS17 actuarial financial reporting.
Providing insights on emerging financial results and related metrics.
Mentoring and developing staff
Required Skills and Experience:
Experience in actuarial work, particularly with IFRS17 reporting
Knowledge of IFRS17 and related actuarial reporting requirements.
Experience with actuarial experience studies and analysis.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to mentor and develop staff.
Experience with financial modeling and analysis
