Associate Director, IT Core, Ongoing – Sydney

This role is a Clerk Grade 11/12, with the base salary for this role starting at $145,378 - $168,130 base plus superannuation, commensurate with experience.

The Associate Director, IT Core is responsible for developing, implementing and managing the Core Services Strategy and Roadmap to deliver technical products and services and to meet current and future agency needs.

The Associate Director leads a team of professionals and manages a multi-vendor landscape to deliver those products and services.

Some of the key accountabilities include:

Develop, review and enhance the core services strategy, roadmap, policies, processes and procedures to deliver streamlined core operations and service delivery and ensure optimal end user outcomes.
Implement and manage key vendor engagements to underpin high quality technology operations for INSW, including managing vendor KPIs, tracking performance, and sustaining collaborative continuous improvement mechanisms.
Establish and maintain the organisation's IT Service Management (ITSM) capabilities and ensure ITSM best practices are included in all aspects of service delivery across the IT function, whether performed by vendors or internal IT team members.
Oversee the delivery of key improvement initiatives and projects in line with the IT Core Services Strategy and Roadmap, including management of vendor and internal resources to ensure optimal end user outcomes.
Deliver technical account management with vendors to manage and drive the resolution of support requests, oversee the delivery of KPIs specified in the contract and escalate issues of non-delivery to ensure prompt resolution of technical and commercial issues.
Provide expert technical advice and recommendations on all IT solutions, implementations and updates to internal and external stakeholders to drive technical decision making, configuration and optimal technology outcomes for the organisation.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Tertiary qualifications in IT or Computer Science or strong equivalent experience in a relevant IT industry / domain experience.
Strong experience and technical knowledge in the implementation and management of IT Service Management and IT Core Services.
Demonstrated experience in delivering ICT or Core technology roadmaps and strategies.
