Job Description
Reporting to the Director, BPO, Fund Accounting, the ideal candidate will oversee a team in our growing BPO Fund Accounting team. This is an exciting opportunity to further your career, and gain exposure to investment manager operations and processes while remaining supported by a leading administration service provider.
• Provide a full range of fund accounting services to clients, including Net Asset Valuation (NAV) preparation/review and review of third-party administrator deliverables
• Manage a team of BPO team members, providing training, support and development
• Provide a complete range of fund supporting services to hedge fund clients while working closely with investment managers, brokers, custodians, and auditors
• Participate in different system improvement and automation projects
• Review and investor allocations and independently validate management and performance allocations
• Coordinate team resources to ensure that client service level agreements are met on a daily basis
• Act as a primary client contact point, responding to queries and managing relationships
• Support the new client onboarding process as an operational liaison
• Establish fund or client specific procedures covering all aspects of our services
• Knowledge of a variety of asset types and accounting treatment
Qualifications
• Post-secondary education/University Degree with a concentration in finance or accounting
• At least 5 years of experience working in the fund administration industry with experience managing staff
• In-depth understanding of fund administration industry. This includes multiple fund structures, fee calculations, financial instruments and fund offering documentation review
• Experience with team dynamics including engagement, moral, performance management
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with Geneva (fund accounting software) would be an asset
