About The Hobart Team
Our Team focuses on the design of structures that deliver to our clients' requirements and make a positive difference to the community. The team delivers value engineering solutions by creating structures with performance efficiencies and draws on market and industry connections to make things happen.
We provide a range of services across Tasmania in multiple sectors, focusing on the development of safe, considered, and innovative solutions to the most challenging problems encountered in the construction of projects. Our team pride themselves on working seamlessly with project stakeholders, ensuring no solution is developed in isolation and without consideration of the potential implications on other areas of the project.
About The Role
Our Hobart office is currently seeking to appoint an Associate Director with relevant engineering design experience, strong communication skills, and the desire to lead and mentor developing engineers within the group. This is a pivotal role with the Hobart Structures team to manage projects and future work pipeline, interface with key clients, conduct business development activities and to develop and mentor a team.

Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
Chartered member (CPEng) of Institute of Engineers Australia
Tasmania Building Service Provider’s Licence
Ideally 10+ years demonstrated experience in structural engineering
Strong understanding of Australian design codes and standards
Demonstrated experience at a senior level of project design and commercial outcomes for projects
Experience in writing tenders and proposals, leading projects and communicating with clients
An innovative and out of the box attitude to solutions and designs
Ability to critically assess and review designs by others
Ability to develop their own team and client base
Ability to win work with support from the Structures Team
