Job description

**ROLE**

In this role you will be responsible for providing technical support and development of digital learning aids in new and in-market courseware products. This may include onboarding, training, and supporting authors on use, tools, and best practices for digital content creation, and providing technical insight and guidance to internal Pearson teams that informs long and short-term strategic decisions to drive better learning experiences and outcomes for our customers.

• *KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

• *What you will be expected to deliver on immediately**:

- Provide technical support for content-related technical incidences associated with in-market courseware products including, troubleshooting, tracking, liaising with third-party partners, and proposing remediation strategies.

- Onboard and train existing as well as new authors on how to use digital content development tools and systems that Pearson uses to deliver innovative content solutions that meet market requirements.

- Track, manage, and ensure that digital content developed by authors is best-of-class in scholarship, pedagogy, placement, and level.

- Ensure projects adhere to project plans, deadlines, and budget.

- Help ensure compliance and vigilance with ADA and diversity & inclusion standards, evaluations, and assessments based on Pearson’s Editorial Policy and global and local guidelines and insights

- Manage time and priorities effectively including, but not limited to meetings, content planning, and all internal work assignments provided by the Director/s.

• *How we see you grow in this role to assume higher responsibilities**:

- Support the Content Strategy, Product Management, and Production/Digital Production teams to assess and develop digital learning item types (assessments, videos, interactive pieces, simulations) for the Higher Education Computer Science market, to make media an integral part of the courseware story.

- Guide Content Strategy, Product Management teams on vendor selections, create Requests for Proposals (RFP), and solicit bids.

- Support Content Strategy, Product Management, Sales, and Marketing teams with training and customer contact on courseware features and capabilities

- Partner with the Content Strategy and Product Management as an ambassador for Computer Science, conveying technical requirements and discipline-specific needs, and cultivating understanding and enthusiasm internally and externally.

• *REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE**

- This position requires a Master's or a Bachelor’s degree.

- At least 1-2 years of work experience in digital content creation or online courseware development.

- Effective, professional and clear written and verbal communication skills in English. Comfortable communicating with internal and external stakeholders as well as customers.

- A working knowledge of programming in either Java, C++, Python, C#, JavaScript, or CSS.

- Ability to manage and track several, complex projects with multiple components and deliverables.

- Adept at learning to use complex content development and scheduling systems, and ability to track large amounts of information.

- Proven organizational and prioritization skills, able to manage several different workflows and assess urgency and priority across multiple projects.

- Strong problem-solving skills, with ability to diagnose issues and identify the steps to correct them.

- Analytical reasoning skills and the ability to distill multiple inputs from internal partners, customers, and operations into actionable items.
