Associate Engineer, Quality Engineering
About the Role:
Grade Level (for internal use):
08Consulting QA primarily focuses on a custom reporting based solution for various clients on a project by project basis. The Consulting QA reviews the requirements that are shared by the clients and provides an estimate on the time it takes to test a solution. The QA team works closely with the Consulting Business & Development team to understand the scope of the client requirement and code changes to effectively test the solution as per the client expectations.
Duties & Accountabilities
• Experience in testing Web services and should have exposure to tools like Postman/ReadyAPI
• Should be well versed in writing SQL joins and Group by clauses
• Prepare Manual/Automated test cases based on specifications and user requirements
• Liaise with development and the business to ensure deadlines are met
• Execute manual tests and identify those that can be automated for regression purposes and automate the same using the automation framework
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with different levels of stakeholders in application delivery, QA and business groups
• Experience and working knowledge of tools such as Azure DevOps
• Ability to analyze defects and spot trends and ensure that new versions of the software is released with the highest quality standards
• Experience of working in tight deadlines in a mature time-boxed testing environment
• Be able to demonstrate consistent and good judgement of assessing the severity of issues.
• Exhibits excellent technical troubleshooting ability
• Contributes and adheres to QA best practices Additional Job Description
Education and experience
• 2+ years' experience in software testing and testing methodologies
• Degree in Computer Science/IT or equivalent stream or course
• Bank Loans or Financial Investment knowledge a plus
• Knowledge of any automation framework will be a plus
• Basic knowledge of any programming languages like C#, Python an advantage
• Exposure to Integration Tools like Octopus / Team City / Jenkins a plus
• Tools: PowerBI, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Windows
• Experience in development tools and languages a plus
• Basic knowledge of cloud computing platforms like AWS a big plus Key Soft Skills
• Willingness to learn new things
• Self-Motivated
• Displays ownership over the project quality
• Ability to influence development counterparts in their test creation
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
