The Associate Field Service Engineer for Leica Biosystems is responsible for supporting the needs of our customers, which directly impacts patient health and overall well-being.
This position is part of the Service Organizationwith our East Pathology Imaging(PI) Field Service Team and will be fully remote. At Leica Biosystems, our vision is to advance cancer diagnostics and improve lives.
You will be a part of the Field Service Team and report to the Regional Field Service Manager responsible for troubleshooting, installation, preventative maintenance, and service repair needs. If you thrive in a fast-paced role and want to work to build a world-class service organization—read on.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
• Under moderate direction from Field Service mentors and leadership, complete troubleshooting, installation, validation, preventative maintenance, modifications, and service repair needs on Leica Biosystems equipment.
• Document and complete service administration activities in a timely manner to follow ISO, FDA, and Leica policies.
• Effectively engage and communicate with both internal and external stakeholders, understanding and meeting their unique needs.
The essential requirements of the job include:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
• Ability to travel – up to +0%, with frequent overnight travel.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
• Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 50 lbs. (tools, replacement parts, consumables etc.). Ability to frequently bend, stoop, twist, turn, crouch/crawl, push/pull, and sit/stand for extended periods of time.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
• Diagnosing and repairing medical devices, electromechanical equipment, or scientific instruments.
• Associates Degree in Engineering from a Technical College or Bachelors in Engineering
• Good troubleshooting skills

The hourly range for this role is $28.00-$31.00. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus / incentive pay.
