Associate General Counsel, APAC Monetization
Full job description
Meta seeks an experienced lawyer to serve as Associate General Counsel for the Business Messaging product counseling team. The position will focus on providing strategic legal counseling to internal product, operations, and business teams in order to identify and mitigate global legal risk, primarily in connection with Meta’s APAC Monetization team. The role will work closely with other legal department subgroups and will require creating and applying legal frameworks to new and innovative products and services. Associate General Counsel, APAC Monetization Responsibilities:
Analyze products, policies and initiatives to provide practical legal risk mitigation strategies for products with global reach
Provide product, engineering, and other business teams with legal advice across many subject areas including data protection laws and regulations, international competition law frameworks, intellectual property laws, marketing laws and regulations, and other global legal frameworks
Help drive consensus and coordinate with public policy, partnerships, compliance, communications and other cross-functional teams on multi-disciplinary issues
Work cross functionally with attorneys from other legal teams such as privacy, regulatory, commercial, and litigation
Minimum Qualifications:
Able to operate both independently and cross-functionally
Experience working on multiple projects at once in a fast-paced environment
Proven problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications:
In-house experience at a technology company
Familiarity with ad tech, social media products and infrastructure, developer platforms, messaging services or other Internet technologies
Product counseling experience, including direct collaboration with clients on risk mitigation across different technologies and legal frameworks
Expertise in data protection and/or competition-related laws and regulations
