• Job Role: Data Privacy and Protection Expert.
• Responsibilities:
- GDPR Compliance:
b) Conduct privacy impact assessments.
c) Advise on data protection matters, ensuring best practices are followed.
d) Stay updated on GDPR developments and legal trends in the IT industry.
- Contractual Expertise:
a) Review, draft, and negotiate contracts with clients, vendors, and partners.
b) Ensure contracts align with legal standards and company policies.
c) Provide legal counsel on contractual obligations and liabilities.
d) Conduct legal research to support decision-making.
- Training and Awareness:
a) Develop and deliver training sessions on GDPR/Data Protection Law.
b) Help in strategizing and creating inter organizational policies compliant with relevant Data Protection laws.
- Qualifications:
a) Bachelors and/or Masters degree in law from a recognized university.
b) 2-4 years of experience in Data Privacy and working experience in Global regulations for Data privacy (GDPR, HIPAA, Australian data privacy, SCC etc.), preferably in the IT industry.
c) CIPP/E certified (preferably).
- Key Competencies:
a) Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
b) Effective communication and interpersonal skills. c) Ability to work independently and collaboratively. d) Solution-oriented approach to legal challenges.
f) In-depth knowledge of Data privacy and its regulations
g) Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
