The Role Responsibilities

Job Role

This role is a mix blend of Risk Data Analytics and Data Preparation for Risk Dashboards( Python Jupyter Notebook, SQL and Tableau). It involves design, development and maintenance of Risk Data Store and Risk Report Dashboards. Functions include both new development and BAU support for legacy data products.

Responsibilities include accurate and thorough documentation of risk data.

Strategy
• Support big data solutions and data delivery roadmaps to meet the evolving needs of the Group Risk and CFCC domains.
• Support the strategic and ad hoc data requirment of Risk Reporting team.

Business
• Support best practices, solution frameworks and techniques to create a next-generation data solutions delivery organization.
• Work on data delivery roadmaps in liaison with the CIO Teams and manage end-to-end data delivery.
• Work on data requirements and identification of golden sources for data attributes.
• Liaise with the stakeholders to support data requirements and delivery.

Risk Management
• Embed compliance with data management risks, including data quality, secrecy, privacy, records management and AI ethics in the design of data solutions.
• Ensure compliance with the risk management practices applicable for the role.

Governance
• Support compliance with the BCBS239 obligations for the data platforms.

Regulatory and Business Conduct
• Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group's Values and Code of Conduct.
• Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
• Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Key Stakeholders
• Global Head of Data, Group Risk and CFCC
• Head, Group Risk Reporting and MI

Key Activities include
• Python and SQL programming, SQL Views and Jupyter Notebook for data solution development.
• Business problem analysis and cross functional collaborative data solution design.
• Data mapping and refence data identification, analysis and management.
• Design and Development of automated data pipes for Tableau dashboards.
• Data debugging and Data Reconciliation to support reporting needs.
• Risk Data Store SQL and Python Job Tool Kit maintenance.
• Proposal and Solution documentation and peer review.

Our Ideal Candidate
• Graduate / Post-graduate in Statistics, Finance, Computer Science, Commerce or similar Quantitative discipline.
• Good Stakeholder management by establishing good working relationships with people at all levels and to work well in a team environment.
• Able to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements to produce prompt, reliable information to management for decision-making purposes.
• Prior experience of Python Jupyter Notebook and SQL Programming.
• Experience in Risk Reporting and Dashboard development.
• Can communicate effectively.

Role Specific Technical Competencies
• Knowledge of Data Profiling and analysis techniques
• Adequate knowledge of Python and SQL programming
• Adequate Knowledge of Data ETL Process and Data Quality Checks
• Knowledge of automation techniques
