Job Role
Network Management is a group function, with the role residing in the region of providers and where the Network Manager represents Standard Chartered Bank group's interests for the respective affiliate relationships that have appointed their respective provider(s). Through a series of Service Level Memorandums, the scope of coverage extends to include all businesses of the bank, as it relates to the process lifecycle in the sourcing, selection, evaluation, onboarding and exit of non-vendor third parties.
This role is based in Bangalore to commit to the following role and responsibilities related to Network Management Centre of excellence part of group function covering series of governance and other associated activities related to group and core requirements related to Third-Party Risk Management. Hence, we seek data-analytical, process-experienced with knowledge on governance matters to join our dynamic team. As a Governance and Risk Specialist you will be responsible for ensuring our organization's compliance with applicable policies and standards, relevant laws, regulations and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Responsible for numerous Control and Reconciliation processes to ensure the internal team and database integrity.
• To assist the business and drive the process in Third-Party Risk Assessments:
• To assist and drive the process on Periodic Reviews, renewals, service review.
• Establishing robust communication with key stakeholders, supplier partners, ensuring Risk and Control priorities are maintained to high standards.
• Acting as an Influencer and Advocate for the holistic Third-Party Risk Management Program. Partnering with Regional Compliance Officers, Regional Governance Forum and Individual Oversight for all critical vendor relationships.
• Collation and production of Governance and Management Information Reports for the submission into various forums.
• To work closely with regional Network Managers, NM COE, and stakeholders across the globe.

This role supports the business in the compliance of Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) and applicable Risk types of requirements and obligations.
Business

Through a series of Service Level Memorandums, the scope of coverage extends to include all businesses of the bank, as it relates to the selection, appointment and oversight of custodian, correspondent banking, cash management arrangements and the related data management steps to reflect these actions in the various NM control documents / systems.

• Identify stalled cases not progressing and assess root causes, and escalation as required

People and Talent
• Lead through example to build an appropriate culture and values. Set appropriate tone and expectations from their team and work in collaboration with Network Management, risk, and control partners.
• Sound operational knowledge of related banking processes as it relates to the appointment of respective providers is pivotal in ensuring that arrangements are suitable and that the bank is not exposing itself to any undue risk.
• Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Experience in Planning, designing, executing and demonstrating sustainability of creating TPRM framework that drives ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements will be added advantage.
• Ideal candidate should be strong on Data Management and analytics, potentially including design of a coherent Third party data model and improve on the Third party risk governance and control documents and mechanisms to ensure consistency of design, representation and publication.
Risk Management
• Network Management is responsible for identifying, assessing, monitoring, controlling, and mitigating risks on behalf of the Group as it relates to the appointed provider(s). It requires an awareness and understanding of the main risks facing the Group:
• Requires thorough understanding of
• Third party risk management policy and standards and relevant applicable policies and standards
• The system tools used in managing third party risks
• Actively assess risks and potential failure points in the processes handled and help highlight the areas to line managers and risk teams
• Ensure adherence to all SLAs and proper updating of all logs such as TAT, system downtime, errors and exceptions log
Governance
This role requires understanding and knowledge of all relevant policy and standards relating to third party risks, regulatorily driven statements on third party risks.

This role within Network Management function in GBS have the following key stakeholders
• Members of the Network management function.
• Business leads (third party risks) and other relevant business process owners.
• Risk leads across ICS, Resilience, Data, CFCC.
Our Ideal Candidate
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 8 years of total work experience in Banking Industry and should have Network management lifecycle, product management, risk, stakeholder management and TPRM experience.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to assess and prioritize third-party risks effectively.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in risk assessments and documentation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing risk landscapes and industry best practices.
