About the Role
As an Associate Nurse Unit Manager, you support the NUM to lead a skilled nursing team, delivering safe, high quality care to mental health consumers. You help manage staff, resources and operations while fostering a culture of learning, collaboration and continuous improvement.
What you will do
Lead nursing team to provide consistent, person centred care
Support staff development, supervision and performance review
Coordinate rostering, leave and work allocation efficiently
Manage resources, supplies and budget to meet unit needs
Drive quality improvements and contribute to policy and practice
About You
You are a confident, skilled nurse ready to lead, support and inspire a mental health team. You bring strong clinical knowledge and a commitment to high quality care.
Registered nurse with current practising certificate
Graduate Diploma or equivalent in mental health nursing
Lead and coordinate nursing teams effectively in complex care
Supervise and support students, enrolled and less experienced nurses
Apply mental health knowledge with creativity, flexibility and focus
