Senior Software Developer
The Senior Software Developer focuses on developing multiple types and categories of software including end-user applications and operating systems software that provides a platform for running end user applications. While working independently with limited supervision, this job applies up-to-date information on the detailed technical design and development of applications using existing and emerging technology platforms.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
• Conducts requirements gathering and analysis to understand the domain of the software problem and/or functionality, the interfaces between hardware and software, and the overall software characteristics.
• Uses programming, scripting, and/or database languages to write software code.
• Consults with systems engineers and architects on developing information technology (IT) standards for the business while facilitating the translation of client requirements into technical designs for large IT solutions.
• Models key business processes and critical paths while assessing the impact of technology on business processes.
• Supports software testing, deployment, maintenance, and evolves activities by correcting programming errors, responding to scope changes, and coding software enhancements
• Maintains records for the documentation of systems development and revisions.
• Reviews the work of lower level professionals.

OIPA Developer-

POSITION SUMMARY

As an OIPA Developer with expertise and experience in designing and configuring business process including new developments, enhancements, maintenance, and support. The role involves continuous collaboration with partners, iterative understanding of requirements, following best practices / methodologies, thorough understanding of the technology roadmap, design / development process that are aligned with business

and technology strategies and comply with the organization architectural standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities:
• Design and configure of business process for the Annuities domain. You will work directly with Product Architects, Product Owner, Scrum Master, and development resources across our team, as well as other technical and business stakeholders across the organization using SAFe.
• Design and hands-on development of enterprise-scale applications that support customer self-service and system to system integration utilizing established and emerging technologies and vendor products.
• Should be able to perform multiple roles i.e., should be able to perform analysis, testing and should be willing to learn new technologies.
• Establish excellent communications across stakeholder domains.

Required Skills:
• Oracle Insurance Policy Administration System (OIPA) Skills - Transactions, Database Table Structure, Attached Business Rules, CopyBook, Segments, Roles, Function, PlanRule, ScreenRule, CalculateRule, Overrides, Loops, familiar with AsFiles & Exposed Computation.
• Configure business processes based on defined business requirements in OIPA
• Configure product features (such as calculations) based on product specifications
• Configure product parameters and security roles
• Utilize OIPA built in functionality where possible to meet business requirements
• Strong in JSON, XML, XSD, and webserver technologies
• Ability to build complex SQL (Oracle PL/SQL) queries and possess general database concepts, in terms of query building and optimization.
• A passion for technology and the financial domain with demonstrated ability to learn quickly
• Delivery focus with the ability to take full ownership
• Experience working with distributed teams in different time-zones
• Strong commitment to quality, documentation, and engineering excellence
• Strong communication skills, problem solving skills and adaptability
• Experience in reverse engineering and understanding existing applications
• Willingness to learn new technologies
• Strong in Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS)
• Basic Java knowledge
• Understanding and coding experience on OIPA Extensions code.
• Strong knowledge of insurance and/or annuity products
• Ability to self-start, multi-task and manage conflicting priorities
• Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to participate in working sessions that result in clear requirements and technical design, even when working with non-technical members of SCRUM teams.
• Good customer interaction skills
• Quick learner and willing to adapt and learn new technologies
• Great attitude, team player and effective contributor
• Commitment to quality and high standards

Desired Skills:
• Experience on Agile/SAFe
• Working experience on JIRA/Confluence/Agile Craft
• Strong time management and planning skills required.
• Knowledge on Spring Boot based microservice apps, microservice architecture, design principals and Cloud platform (AWS/Azure/GCP/OCI).

The Expertise We’re Looking For
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer science or any other discipline
• 3 - 7 years of experience with configuration of annuity business process
• Annuity Domain knowledge and OIPA configuration
