Major Responsibilities/Activities
Product Discovery & Problem Ownership
Own clearly defined product problems or outcome areas within a product or workflow.
Conduct customer and internal user interviews to understand workflows, pain points, and unmet needs.
Translate insights into problem statements, hypotheses, and success metrics.
Use data, research, and feedback to validate problems before proposing solutions.
Solution Definition & Delivery
Define solutions collaboratively with Design and Engineering, balancing customer value, feasibility, and impact.
Write clear user stories and acceptance criteria that express intent, not just tasks.
Actively participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, demos, and retrospectives.
Make day-to-day product decisions within your area of ownership.
Product Learning Through Metrics
Define and track success metrics for the initiatives owned.
Analyze feature adoption, usage patterns, and workflow impact.
Use outcomes to inform iteration, improvements, or course correction.
Learn how to separate output (features shipped) from impact (value delivered).
Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication
Partner directly with Engineering, Design, Operations, and Support as the product owner for your initiatives.
Communicate priorities, tradeoffs, and decisions clearly and confidently.
Present findings, recommendations, and results to product leadership.
Learn how to manage stakeholder input without losing product focus.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Required Education, Skills, & Experience
Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
Ability to break down complex problems into manageable pieces.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
Curiosity, coachability, and strong desire to learn product best practices.
Proficiency in English is necessary for job-related communication, including understanding policies, writing correspondence, and engaging with colleagues or clients.
Preferred Education, Skills, & Experience
Familiarity using Jira or Pendo.
Experience in business analysis.
Previous experience in Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management.
Working Environment
Remote setting should be a quiet, private workspace free from significant distractions is required to ensure productivity during work hours.
A reliable internet connection is required for remote work. EMS|MC will provide necessary equipment, including a computer, monitor, keyboard, mouse and headset.
Physical Requirements
Sitting: frequent and prolonged periods of sitting at a desk while working on a computer.
Communication: frequent and prolonged periods of speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
Fine motor skills: frequent use of hands for typing and operating a computer mouse.
Travel: must be able to travel occasionally to attend required company meetings.
Pay range: The targeted salary for this role is $67,500 annually, with final compensation based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and business needs. Individuals in this role are eligible to participate in a discretionary bonus plan and a comprehensive benefit package, including a retirement plan, health coverage, and paid time off.
