Job Description
• Manage relationship with Correspondent Banks & FIs that are based out of Asia-Pacific.
• Own overall revenue target, strategic initiatives as well as service fulfillment for all the clients mapped. This also includes keeping track of business-related metrics like Revenue, CASA balances, Trade outstanding, Nostro volume and treasury flows for the mapped FIs.
• Responsible for originating and deepening relationship with banks in the region. This includes building up strategy for business reciprocity and product cross-sell to optimize the revenue for each relationship.
• Negotiate and execute relevant agreements (like ISDA, CSA, BAF, Risk Participation etc), wherever required.
• Responsible for credit analysis and underwriting of limits on foreign banks and sovereigns in the region. Ability to resolve credit risk queries raised by FI Risk team and Early Warning team.
• Manage transaction related queries from clients to help grow International FIG revenue. Coordinate with Trade Sales Team, Operations Team and Service team to ensure that all transactions from foreign banks/FIs are handled and executed in satisfactory manner.
• Handle KYC and AML processes for foreign banks at the time of onboarding of new relationship or at the time of KYC renewal. Also be responsible for all Compliance, Internal Audit or RBI Audit related queries related to correspondent banks in the region.
• Coordinate & support internal coverage teams (like Trade PSMs from Business Banking and Large Corporate) to channelize and support their transaction requests in foreign geographies through our correspondent banks.
• Drive implementation projects through help of internal stakeholders (like Product, Operations, IT etc) related to remittance, INR Vostro accounts or other specific requirements that may arise from correspondent banks side.
Candidate Profile
• 2-8 years of overall work experience, with at least three years of correspondent banking related experience.
• Basic knowledge of Trade Products (Letter of Credits, Bank Guarantees, SBLC etc) and general understanding of banking products and guidelines.
• Experience of dealing with multiple internal stakeholders (esp Credit Risk, Compliance, Operations and Product teams).
• Ownership and drive to manage multiple relationship across spectrum of products.
• Strong sales, client management and customer service skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Analytical skills and basic understanding of financial statements/balance sheet
• Basic MS office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word etc)
• MBA or Chartered Accountant by qualification
