Summary :
- Evaluates, tests, recommends, develops, coordinates, monitors, and maintains infrastructure security policies, procedures and systems, including hardware, firmware and software .
- Ensures that infrastructure security architecture/designs, plans, controls, processes, standards, policies and procedures are aligned with operational standards and overall IS security.
- Identifies security risks and exposures, determines the causes of security violations and suggests procedures to halt future incidents.
- Investigates and resolves infrastructure security incidents and recommends enhancements to improve security.
- Develops techniques and procedures for conducting infrastructure security risk assessments and compliance audits, the evaluation and testing of hardware, firmware and software for possible impact on infrastructure security, and the investigation and resolution of security incidents.
What Part Will You Play?
- Provides Level I technical support and develops more in-depth knowledge of security infrastructure processes, concepts, software and hardware platforms by assisting with the support and troubleshooting of hardware and application services across a heterogeneous network infrastructure; escalates issues requiring more experience and in-depth knowledge.
- Begins to build knowledge of firmware updates, patching and hardware upgrades by reviewing documentation and assisting others.
- Assists with the maintenance of security infrastructure software/hardware platforms and begins to build knowledge of scheduled security and network changes in accordance with corporate change control procedures (e. outage that may impact Service Level Agreement).
- Assists with determining test connectivity requirements and firewall rules for implementations.
- Demonstrates a working knowledge of company information security standards, policies and procedures by confirming that they are aligned with operational standards and overall information security.
- Assists others to become knowledgeable about security products and network documentation used to verify conformity.
What Are We Looking For in This Role?
Minimum Qualifications :
- Relevant Experience or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and/or the equivalent of training and experience.
- Typically Minimum 2 Years Relevant Exp.
- Experience in the implementation of secure enterprise size systems, network development and/or network operational environment, PCP/IP networking with knowledge of security practices
- Knowledge of Checkpoint firewalls, firewall clustering models and stateful failover, firewall operation and rule specification, IP routing principles and protocols, implementation of security techniques around internet facing services and Local Network Operation.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience working with encryption products, understanding of network management tools and SNMP, security in IP environment
- Operation and configuration of networks multi-layer switches, intrusion prevention systems, proxies and applications, remote access service SSL/VPN, security equipment and network cabling to industry best practices, Windows and Unix server networking and knowledge of Radius and 802.1X 2 Factor Authentication.
- GCFW (GIAC Certified Firewall Analyst), CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate).
