The role
As an Associate Software Engineer - Mobile Applications, you will be a part of our Software Engineering Chapter. With a passion for analysing, designing and building software engineering solutions, you will be part of an Agile delivery team that engages with our partners to deliver innovative mobile applications that provide rich user functionality and seamless user experiences.
What You Should Expect
The Associate Software Engineer - Mobile Applications will be responsible for:
• Designing and developing mobile applications (Android / iOS)
• Wireframe analysis and design
• UI / UX design and development
• Designing, building, and optimising reusable front end and back end software components
• Building and executing unit and system test automation to enable continuous integration and iterative deployment
• Engaging with Designers and Product Owners to develop solid understanding of technical and functional requirements
• Contributing towards developing and continuously improving our software engineering practice, processes, and standards
What You Will Need To Succeed
• Degree or above qualification in Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
• Experience in mobile and web application design and development (Android / iOS)
• Experience with React JS, React Native, Angular, Flutter
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Solid understanding of UI / UX design principles
• Experience deploying apps to the Google Play store and Apple App store
• Sound experience in web services (HTTP, REST, SOAP)
• Understanding of database design, strong SQL skills and experience with database technologies such as MongoDB
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Passionate about software engineering and being part of a high performing global team that work across a broad range of technologies and business domains
• Enthusiastic can-do attitude with a self-motivated drive for high quality delivery and continuous improvement
