Senior Technical Writer
The Technical Writer focus specializes in planning, developing, drafting, and editing standard operating procedures and supporting documents to communicate complex technical information internally and externally. Produces electronic and hard-copy documentation, maintaining standards to conform with firm and quality assurance standards. Additionally, plans and manages annual reviews for compliance and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
• Researches, plans, writes, organizes, and edits technical and user documentation for internal and external knowledge bases.
• Generate and modify Standard Operating Procedures and related process documentation
• Maintains records and files of work and revisions
• Performs quality review of documents to include spelling, grammar and content accuracy and tone and voice consistency within given timeframes with little or no supervision.
Educational Requirements
• University (Degree) Preferred

• 3+ Years Required; 5+ Years Preferred

Technical Writer
The Technical Writer works within the Global Infrastructure Services team to author, edit, and review technical documentation. Working with limited oversight, the candidate will work with internal technical resources and teams to gather, write, and publish technical information for varied audiences. The Technical Writer should have strong writing skills, the ability to synthesize technical content from an subject matter expert (SME) to create technical documentation, training materials, "How To Guides", Implementation documents, etc. - that clearly explain technical competences to technical and end users based on their persona.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
• Strong research and analytical skills
• Excellent technical writing skills
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Good working knowledge of MS Office or Google Docs
• Detail-oriented
• Ability to undertake multiple projects and deliver on tight deadlines
• Write software documentation from technical specifications, discussions with engineers, and hands-on experimentation
• Produce How-Tos, tutorials, user guides, and knowledge base content
• Contribute to doc standards, including participating in peer editing
• Update existing docs to reflect changes to functionality
Experience
• 5 years’ experience in technical writing
• Prior experience working with technology teams
• Strong communications skills, including written, verbal and presentation
• Ability to communicate complex technical topics to non-technical stakeholders both internally and externally
Preferred
• Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in experience in English, Communication, Journalism,
• Prior experience working within IT Infrastructure or Application Development departments
