This specialized role entails the implementation of a Control Assurance framework program in the 2nd Line of Defense (LOD) of the Bank to assess the quality of the Business Line Assurance Framework Committee's (BLAFC) due diligence function on a file escalated to them by KYC Operations.

Your Key Responsibilities:
The key responsibility of this role is to drive and implement a globally consistent Anti-Financial Crime (AFC) Quality Assurance program to ensure that the Business Line AFCs' review of KYC escalations are robust and correctly executed across the bank.
You will report to the QA Lead in terms of guidance and authority and will be guided in terms of strategic issues, compliance, etc. However, you should be able to independently interact with Internal and External parties and are expected to be aware of changes in regulations.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
Support the QA Team Lead in driving and implementing the AFC QA Program
Ensure that QA is performed in compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and testing standards
Interact with key stakeholders across the business and collaborate with other teams as required
Prepare reports and Management Information (MI) that are concise, timely, and provide value to the business and management to continuously improve BLAFC processes, controls, and mitigate risks
Compile reports and trend analysis in preparation for discussion with key Stakeholders, identifying key issues and areas for improvement
Work in coordination with the AFC Testing and QA teams in hub locations for any coordination of the BLAFC Quality Assurance program
Maintain the AFC BLAFC QA approach and methodology consistent and up-to-date
Support the CT A team for any German language translation requirements
Keep abreast of all regulatory developments that may impact the QA program
Assist on projects as required
Your Skills and Experience:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
Experience working in financial crimes in a financial institution
Experience working in the KYC space in a comparable bank of Deutsche Bank's size and spread
Second-line experience will be preferred
Working knowledge of international banking business and products
Experience of working within a multinational organization
Some understanding and application of relevant AML/KYC regulation and legislation
Strong German business communication skills, both written and verbal (B2 level of certification or equivalent)
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to communicate effectively with Compliance, the line of business, and technical team members, with the ability to influence stakeholders
A basic understanding of financial crime risks and internal controls
Analytical skills, with the ability to provide practical solutions for minimizing risk
Able to work independently to manage projects and deliverables to completion
An enthusiastic team player, able to build strong, open dialogue-based relationships with relevant stakeholders
Action-oriented, with a strong focus on completing tasks accurately and efficiently, while working independently and with minimum direction
Able to remain calm under pressure, while maintaining high energy levels

Proficiency in using Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access
