Position: Associate Vice President-Legal

Qualification: LLB

Job Description

Part of the real estate legal team and overseeing all the legal aspects related to title clearance, land due diligence, vetting of agreements, drafting, litigation & non-Litigation, etc and supporting the Head-Legal in day-to-day legal activities. Responsible for Transaction documentation from end-to-end execution process, post closure compliances of the transaction including drafting, vetting and finalization of all legal documents required by the legal department to ensure that these documents are in order.

Responsible for inhouse drafting of all contracts/documentation such as application form, allotment letter, agreement of sale, conveyance deed, lease deeds, all customer related documents/communications, joint developments, consultancy agreements, etc.,

Liaise with relevant departments to ensure that where legal risks have been identified, appropriate courses of action have been taken.

Review and draft contracts, agreements and internal policies and ensure that they follow all statutory or legal requirements.

Tracking and monitoring compliances of contractual obligations on legal aspects.

Handling litigations including customer disputes, claims, formulating replies to legal notices, coordinate with external lawyers, briefing of advocates and counsels .

To interpret contract provisions, laws, rules and regulations critically and to give the views on the same.

Providing support to sales and CRM team about legal aspects, customer queries and RERA compliances.

To closely co-ordinate with lawyers on various forms of dispute resolution including arbitration, RERA Litigation civil suits, / criminal proceedings etc. and any appeal/ review/ revision therefrom;

Vetting all the marketing and publications material with respect to all company Projects for RERA compliance.

Carrying out various due diligence of the company's properties/projects to ensure that all legal & statutory obligations are in order.

Participate in effective management of the departmental budgets to ensure that cost is with the approved budget and the negotiated commercials are beneficial to the organizational interest

Advising group companies related to real estate matters from time to time

Qualifications

Candidates having 10+ year of experience in real estate legal field with strong knowledge of RERA and other property laws with experience due diligence, documentation, RERA compliances, etc
