Job Title: Assurance Manager

About the Role

We’re looking for an Assurance Manager who thrives on building client relationships, leading talented teams, and tackling complex accounting challenges head-on. In this role, you’ll provide high-quality assurance services that not only meet compliance standards but also deliver real value to our clients. You’ll play a key part in guiding staff, collaborating with senior leaders, and ensuring that every engagement runs smoothly, profitably, and to the highest standards.

What You’ll Do

Lead Engagements: Oversee audits of financial statements, disclosures, and client deliverables to ensure quality and timeliness.

Mentor & Supervise: Review work prepared by Assurance staff, provide constructive feedback, and support professional growth.

Collaborate with Leaders: Work alongside Senior Managers and Partners on risk assessments, audit programs, internal audit reports, and budgeting.

Client Advisory: Advise clients on regulatory and economic risks while helping resolve complex accounting issues.

Technical Expertise: Apply GAAP to complex situations, draft technical memos, and serve as a trusted technical resource for staff.

Engagement Oversight: Keep partners updated on engagement progress, address challenges proactively, and provide timely solutions.

Develop Talent: Provide training, leadership, recognition, and clear direction to your team.

Manage Profitability: Oversee client billing and ensure engagements are delivered efficiently and profitably.

Firm Support: Contribute to firm policies, procedures, recruiting efforts, and professional development initiatives.

Stay Current: Keep up with technical and regulatory updates to ensure our clients receive informed, top-notch service.

What We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.

CPA certification (required).

At least 5+ years of public accounting experience with a minimum of 2 years supervising and training others.

Experience managing multiple client engagements simultaneously.

Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

Ability to travel to client sites as needed.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); QuickBooks and ProSystems experience a plus.

Confident presence with the ability to serve as a primary client contact and present to clients and prospects.

Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and research skills.
