Law degree from ABA accredited law school and excellent academic credentials
Active license to practice law in New York and be a member in good standing with the New York state bar
1-10 years of insurance defense litigation/trial experience
Experience working in a paperless environment
Experience directing support staff on clerical and administrative matters related to lawsuit handling
Strong automation/technological skills for lawsuit handling and courtroom presentation

Potential yearly incentive pay up to 16% of base salary (results may vary from year to year)

Responsibilities
James F. Butler & Associates, insurance staff counsel for State Farm Insurance Companies, is seeking trial attorneys to join the Jericho NY Claim Litigation office. Selected candidates will join one of our trial teams and will be responsible for handling a high-volume caseload from discovery stage through trial.
