Role Description:
- Conduct guided walking tours of popular Auckland attractions, sharing fascinating historical facts, cultural insights, and interesting stories (don't worry this information will be provided).
- Lead groups of diverse individuals, communicating effectively and ensuring an enjoyable experience for each participant.
- Navigate through the city, maintaining a safe and engaging pace for all participants.
- Provide recommendations on local points of interest, entertainment, dining, and shopping options.
- Stay up-to-date with Auckland’s latest attractions, events, and developments to provide visitors with accurate information.
Requirements:
- Strong passion for Auckland's history, cultural heritage, and local attractions. A genuine interest in sharing knowledge and engaging with people from all over the world.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with people from various backgrounds and age groups.
- Proven experience in public speaking, tourism, hospitality, or related fields is advantageous but not required.
- Familiarity with Auckland's city layout, major landmarks, and points of interest.
- Exceptional organizational skills, including the ability to manage time effectively and adhere to tour schedules.
- A friendly and approachable demeanor, with a genuine commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
Salary and Benefits:
