Robotek is a 21-year-old, trusted Indian brand in the mobile accessories space, known for high-performing products like batteries, chargers, neckbands, and TWS. With strong demand across Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, we are now strengthening our audio product division with an in-house R&D and Testing setup.
JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for a highly skilled and passionate Audio R&D and Testing Engineer to lead the technical testing, IC selection, product development, and quality control of our sound-based products—TWS, neckbands, handsfree, and Bluetooth speakers.
KEY RESPONSIBILIES
1. 1. Audio Product Testing & Calibration
- Define technical parameters for TWS, neckbands, handsfree & speakers.
- Conduct detailed performance testing: frequency response, THD, latency, loudness, mic quality, etc.
- Use tools like Audio Precision, MiniDSP, GRAS Mic, or similar setups.
2. 2. Bluetooth IC & Driver Evaluation
- Research and evaluate Bluetooth ICs (Qualcomm, Realtek, BES, Actions, JL, etc.)
- Compare performance, latency, codec support (AAC, aptX, LDAC), and battery efficiency.
- Recommend best IC-driver combinations for new product development.
3. 3. R&D and Innovation
- Work on tuning and optimizing sound profiles for Robotek products.
- Set up internal benchmark scores for comparing new samples.
- Stay updated with trends: ANC, Gaming mode, Transparency mode, Dual pairing.
4. 4. Production Parameter Finalization
- Finalize key specifications for mass production: driver size, enclosure design, impedance, battery, PCB layout.
- Create documentation for handoff to production and packaging teams.
5. 5. Quality Control System Setup
- Design audio QC SOPs and factory-level testing protocols.
- Help install Go/No-Go jigs or semi-automated audio testing tools.
- Train QC staff on executing daily tests.
QUALIFICATIONS
- B.Tech in Electronics, Sound Engineering, or related fields.
- 3+ years of experience in testing or developing Bluetooth audio products.
- Familiarity with Bluetooth chipsets and audio codecs.
- Strong hands-on skills with sound measurement equipment.
