Job Purpose
Global Internal Audit provides independent and objective assurance as to whether the design and operational effectiveness of the Group’s framework of risk management, control and governance processes, as designed and represented by management, is adequate.
We are currently seeking an individual to join the Global Internal Audit team covering Markets and Securities Services (MSS) activities, in the role of Audit Manager, based in India.
The base location for this role is Mumbai, with some travel regionally and occasionally globally.
In this role, you will make a difference through:
• Working on risk-based thematic or front-to-back audits from planning to reporting;
• Assessing and challenging first line risk assessments and effectiveness of key processes and controls.
• Helping with continuous engagement with key stakeholders and monitoring of emerging business risks;
• Building productive relationships with stakeholders across the bank;
• Acting as a role model for junior team members, and fostering an open and collaborative working culture
• Thinking about the future of the function and contributing to the wider development through collaborating with other audit teams, learning and utilizing data analytics, agile techniques and other innovations to more efficiently and effectively deliver its objectives;
Requirements
To be selected for this role, you will be:
• A professional with many years of experience and knowledge in assessing key risks and controls for one or more of the following: Securities Services activities including Global Custody, Direct Custody & Clearing, Fund Administration Services, Trustee and Fiduciary services and Global Markets;
• An effective communicator, verbally and in writing, with convincing presentation, persuasion and influencing skills, even when delivering difficult messages to senior stakeholders;
• Dedicated to continuous learning and improving your own skills, which could be demonstrated by holding relevant professional qualifications such as in accountancy, finance or risk management, and keeping up-to-date with developments in the banking industry, markets and regulations;
• Excellent at managing multiple competing priorities on different concurrent projects, and able to ensure delivery of objectives through analysis of options and coming to pragmatic decisions;
• An analytical thinker who is confident
