The Role:​

This is a wide-ranging and challenging position that requires an individual who is committed to, and energised by, client relationships, teamwork, personal development and audit quality. The role will involve leading audit on-site project teams, being a key point of contact for client finance teams and providing quality deliverables to the senior members of the team.

Key Responsibilities:

Being the on-site project lead for a portfolio of audits. You will complete work on higher risk areas of the audit file as well as being responsible for coaching and project managing the on-site team

You’ll be the primary on-site liaison for the key client contacts. You will engage with them on project management and ensure expectations and deliverables are effectively managed

You’ll be responsible for quality control of the team’s work by providing effective support and challenge as well as reviewing work

You’ll support the Audit Manager in engagement economics, including preparation of budgets and tracking against actuals

Manage your own time and that of others to meet deadlines and deliver an effective service to clients

Opportunity to be involved in strategic projects at office and firm wide level

Contributions to business development activities

The Team:​

Our Cleckheaton Audit team is around 30 strong, including five Managers, two Directors and three Partners. Working in a collaborative, open plan office, you’ll be line managed by one of our knowledgeable and supportive Audit Managers. You’ll be exposed to a wide variety of clients, working on audits of different sizes and levels of complexity. When conducting an audit on-site, you’ll report to the relevant Assistant Manager or Manager for that audit.

The package:​

Salary from £40,550 p/a

27 days, plus bank holidays.​

Strong project management skills

Ability to pro-actively research and improve technical knowledge

ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent

At least 3 years’ experience in audit practice

Experience of UK auditing standards

Excellent IT skills, including experience of using different accounting packages and Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

The ability to travel to clients as and when needed
