Job Title: Auditor Branch Audit
Location: Mumbai
Experience: 3-15 Years
Industry: Banking
Key Responsibilities:
• Independently conduct branch audits, including regular travel to various locations.
• Participate in audits across multiple business units, with a focus on product and operations audits.
• Assist in planning, designing, and implementing risk-based audit plans to ensure the safety and soundness of the bank.
• Ensure timely completion of assigned audits and proper documentation of work papers.
• Monitor and track the status of audit issues and ensure timely closure.
• Support benchmarking of internal processes against industry best practices and peer banks.
• Assist in updating and maintaining the Audit Procedure Manual and related checklists.
• Develop and refine audit checklists for internal and concurrent auditors.
• Evaluate products, processes, and procedures to identify potential risks, bottlenecks, and control gaps, ensuring timely resolution.
• Provide recommendations for improving existing processes and systems to management.
• Oversee the concurrent audit process, including:
• Ensuring timely submission of concurrent audit reports
• Regular updates of audit checklists
• Reviewing audit observations and issues
• Following up on and ensuring rectification of identified issues
Key Skills:
• Strong understanding of banking operations
• Experience in internal / branch / concurrent audit
• Knowledge of risk and compliance frameworks
• Familiarity with RBI regulations
• Good analytical and reporting skills
• Willingness to travel
