We are seeking an exceptional Assistant Manager to join our team in Mumbai, India. This full-time and permanent position offers regional coverage, providing a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on our Global Service Centre and its growth.
Key Responsibilities:
• Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare accurate financial statements, tax returns, and associated documentation for entity structures (company, trust & partnership) and individuals.
• Tax Legislation Expertise: Apply in-depth knowledge of tax legislation to manage PSI, Div 7A, and CGT implications for clients.
• Statutory Reporting: Assist with the preparation of Business Activity Statements (BAS), Instalment Activity Statement (IAS), and other statutory reports in compliance with Australian Taxation Office requirements.
• Fringe Benefits Tax Management: Demonstrate expertise in managing Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) obligations and administering Employee Share Schemes (ESS) in compliance with relevant tax regulations.
• Data Entry and Bookkeeping: Support the Management Accountant by performing accurate data entry and bookkeeping tasks for both domestic and international clients.
• Administrative Tasks: Perform general administrative tasks and maintain organized filing systems.
• Issue Escalation: Proactively identify and escalate issues to leadership in a timely manner to ensure swift resolution.

• Exceptional Communication Skills: Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex information.

• Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft office, specifically Word and advanced Excel.

Requirements:
• Relevant Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Australian tax & accounting roles.
• Tax Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of Australian tax laws, including FBT, BAS.
• Software Proficiency: Proficiency in software's like Xero, APS, XPM (an advantage).
• Coaching Experience: Experience in coaching 1-2 junior staff members (desirable).
Educational Qualifications:
• Chartered Accountant/AUS CPA: Hold a Chartered Accountant or AUS CPA certification.
• DipIFR (Diploma in IFRS): Diploma in IFRS would be an advantage.
