Auto Mechanic
Job Summary of Auto Mechanic:
This role involves servicing a variety of vehicles, including delivery trucks and heavy duty tractors powered by diesel, gasoline, or alternative fuel sources. You are responsible for diagnosing and repairing brake systems, electrical components, and engine controls. This is a hands on position requiring mechanical expertise, attention to safety, and flexibility to work second or third shifts, including weekends.
Job Duties and Responsibilities of Auto Mechanic:
• Maintain and repair UPS vehicles, including diagnostics and preventative maintenance.
• Meet DOT safety and performance standards for commercial vehicles.
• Operate manual and standard transmissions and power tools safely and effectively.
• Document repairs and maintenance in the system accurately.
• Perform physical tasks including lifting, kneeling, climbing, and crawling throughout the shift.
Qualifications and Experience of Auto Mechanic:
• Documented mechanical experience in automotive maintenance and repair.
• Experience using diagnostic tools and scan equipment.
• Must supply personal hand tools.
• Class A CDL preferred but not required.
• Willingness to work full-time shifts of 8–10 hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Reliable attendance and availability for overtime or schedule changes.
• High safety awareness and ability to communicate clearly.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
