Job Duties
Purpose of Position: Provides supervision through applied knowledge of principles/methods related to equipment and mechanic shop (approximately 45 fleet vehicles). Communicates expectations of staff clearly and relates them to the goals and objectives of the department or unit to perform preventive maintenance and make routine mechanical repairs on all state-owned vehicles and grounds equipment (i.e., passenger vehicles, trucks, lawn tractors/mowers, weed eaters, tractors, vehicles, scissors lifts, hedge trimmers, etc.) To assure safe and efficient operating condition and to operate equipment and assist trades workers as needed.

Valid Virginia’s driver’s license
