Job Description: Automation Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Automation Engineer to join our technology team. As an Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining automated test scripts using Selenium and Python to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver and Python to validate software functionality, performance, and security.
Collaborate with software developers, QA analysts, and product managers to understand requirements and design test cases.
Conduct thorough testing of web applications, APIs, and backend systems to identify bugs, performance issues, and usability problems.
Create and maintain test data, test environments, and test documentation to ensure accurate and reproducible testing.
Continuously improve and enhance test automation frameworks, tools, and methodologies to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
Analyze test results, troubleshoot issues, and work closely with the development team to resolve defects and improve overall product quality.
Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in test automation and quality assurance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as an Automation Engineer or Software Test Engineer, with a focus on web application testing.
Strong proficiency in Selenium WebDriver and Python programming language.
In-depth knowledge of test automation frameworks and tools such as pytest, Robot Framework, or similar.
Experience with version control systems like Git and CI/CD pipelines.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and working in an Agile development environment.
Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills to identify and resolve issues.
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality software products.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with other test automation tools and frameworks, such as Cucumber, Appium, or JUnit.
Knowledge of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and API testing.
Understanding of database concepts and SQL queries.
Familiarity with performance testing tools like JMeter or Gatling.
Experience in load testing and security testing is a plus.
