Job Description
• The Automation Engineer will design, develop, and implement PLC and SCADA control systems for new and existing processes.
• Program and troubleshoot PLCs (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Schneider) and associated HMI/SCADA systems.
• Support day-to-day plant operations by diagnosing and resolving control system issues
• Maintain and improve process control strategies to enhance safety, quality, and efficiency
• Lead or support automation aspects of capital projects, including system integration and commissioning.
• Develop and maintain control system documentation (P&IDs, loop sheets, logic diagrams, narratives).
• Ensure compliance with applicable safety standards, including process safety management (PSM) requirements.
• Perform backups, patching, and lifecycle management of control system hardware and software.

Required Qualifications
• The Automation Engineer will have a BS or AS degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• 3 + years of experience in industrial automation, preferably in a chemical or process manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Pressure, Temperature, Level and Flow Meters and other instruments used in Process Control.
• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus, OPC).
• Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
