Role Description:
The QA Automation Specialist Emerging Technologies Specialist is responsible for automating the testing function including script conversions, testing and QA activities using AI and other emerging technologies. They will also perform hands-on testing, both automated and when required manual, on rapid prototypes (Proofs of Concept (PpCs)) and similar types of projects.
They have knowledge of cutting-edge technologies like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Blockchain as well as extensive skills in test automation, performance test and API/integration testing. They are passionate about technology, automation, quality, and productivity. The QA Automation Specialist Emerging Technologies Specialist takes advantage of emerging technologies, not only in the solutions they work on, but also to perform their own work. They have good experience in agile, DevOps, automation, test-driven development environments and cloud computing.
Through their experience in QA, testing and working with software development teams across the SDLC, they are able to provide insights to opportunities to automate technical QA and testing activities, shifting these "left" to developers and AI agents or capabilities. They also are able to distinguish between Quality Assurance and Quality Control and champion the move from a Quality Control to a Quality Assurance Mindset.
