Role Description
Our technology team is building out a strategic global platform for post trade processing of bond securities to transform our processes to make it easier and cheaper to maintain by harmonizing approach across all regions. We are looking for an Automated Testing Engineer in Bangalore with a passion for agile practices to join our global team and help implement our vision.
We are looking to build a new feature team in Bangalore to take wide responsibility for all aspects of the technical solution and delivery of business features and therefore help drive new initiatives that enable transformational program or growth initiatives for new business deliveries. Our feature teams are well established in New York, London, Berlin and we are looking to build Bangalore based team with focus on EMEA/APAC.
We're more interested in your approach to automated testing than experience in specific frameworks and libraries. We value working with the business to create a product with long-term value and writing robust, simple and well-tested software.
Product Description
Post Trade stack in Rates and Credit is a suite of applications responsible for Trade Capture (both - voice and electronic), Trade Lifecycle processing and data distribution to different consumers. Stack is at heart of IB function for Fixed Income trading because it provides central place for traders to know what they have traded, what is their position and monitor risks on the back of this data. We're in process of replacing previous generation of the stack with the one based on years of experience in both Trade Life Cycle and Technology. We are migrating to Core Java with rest and JMS used as transport, UI is being rewritten in React.

Your key responsibilities
We are looking for skilled Automation QA who will focus on test automation area: improving infrastructure, test designs and help reducing test automation debt. You will work as a part of a feature team on end-to-end delivery in a complex system, containing multiple in bound and outbounds interfaces.
As a Quality Assurance Engineer your responsibility would be:
• Design auto test approach for the platform that has multiple different integrations
• Implementing changes in our automated testing infrastructure including CI/CD
• Test cases design and automation (Language: Java Frameworks needed: Junit5, Cucumber, Selenid, Spring, RESTAssured)
• Manual feature testing (would be still a part of your responsibilities as a way to stay in close connection with platform and end users)
• Coordinating UAT: setting up the environment, showing users how to use the platform, gathering issues, and tracking their resolution
• Participating in parts of manual regression before the release to stay connected to the platform.
Your skills and experience
• Experience in Software Quality Assurance (3+ years)
• Good understanding of QA theory and SDLC practices
• Experience in test case and test plan development
• Skilled in Test Automation on Java
• Experience in using Test Automation frameworks: Junit5, Cucumber, RESTAssured, Selenide, Mockito
• Experience in setting up CI/CD process (TeamCity is preferable)
• Experience in using .nix systems
• Source code control systems (GIT is preferrable)
• Knowledge of SQL
Preferable skills and knowledge
• Experience in working with distributed teams
• Experience with Agile SDLC
• Understanding of investment banking systems and processes
• Bloomberg TOMS a plus
