Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Automobile Engineer to join our team. In this field-based role, you will be responsible for conducting thorough pre-delivery inspections of cars at dealer showrooms on behalf of customers who are purchasing vehicles. Your meticulous attention to detail and technical expertise will contribute to delivering exceptional service and ensuring customer satisfaction Responsibilities: • Conduct pre-delivery inspections of newly purchased cars at dealer showrooms, ensuring they meet the company's and the automotive industry's quality and safety standards. • Perform comprehensive checks on various vehicle systems, including engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, electrical components, and more as per defined systems and processes. • Identify and document any defects, damages, or discrepancies in the vehicles, providing accurate and detailed reports for further action in line with company processes and SOPs • Collaborate with dealership staff to address and resolve any issues found during inspections, maintaining effective communication throughout the process. • Ensure that all inspections are completed within the designated timeframe and in adherence to company guidelines. • Maintain accurate records of inspection findings, reports, and relevant documentation. • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries, explaining inspection results, and offering technical advice as needed. • Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies, industry trends, and inspection protocols to continuously enhance your technical knowledge and skills. Qualifications and Skills: • Diploma / Bachelor's degree (B.E. / BTech / or equivalent 4-year course) in Automobile Engineering is a must. Other relevant certifications or additional training are a plus. • Proven experience as an automobile engineer, with a strong background in conducting vehicle inspections, maintenance, or repairs. • In-depth knowledge of automotive systems, components, and technologies. • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with an eye for detail and accuracy. • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a field-based setting, managing multiple inspections per day. • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with dealership staff and customers. • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record. • Physical fitness to perform inspections that may involve bending, lifting, and working in various weather conditions. • Proficiency in using digital devices and software for reporting and documentation purposes.
