Job Requirements
Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of in-vehicle networks using the SOME/IP (Scalable Object-Oriented Message Protocol) protocol and must work closely with the client’s engineering team to develop, integrate and optimize software platforms for Automotive systems.
• Design, develop and implement SOME/IP based network architectures for next-generation automotive applications.
• Configure and diagnose SOME/IP communication within Electronic Control Units.
• Conduct tests and validate the performance and reliability of SOME/IP networks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical engineers, software engineers) to ensure seamless integration of SOME/IP with other vehicle systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues.
• Generate and maintain comprehensive documentation, including network designs, test procedures, troubleshooting steps and validation reports.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in automotive software engineering.
• Onsite assignment in Italy for 1 year
Work Experience
• 12+ years of experience in software development with remarkable experience in network engineering and ethernet.
• Experience in protocols like SOME/IP, DDS and Automotive Ethernet shall be an added advantage
• Experience in working with Agile development workflow.
• Strong programming skills in C/C++
• Experience with automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet).
• Familiarity with automotive development processes and tools (e.g., MISRA C/C++, AUTOSAR, Vector tools CANoe/CANalyzer).
• Good knowledge on Software Architecture and Hardware Abstraction Layer.
• Experience in network troubleshooting and debugging of complex issues, Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of emerging Automotive E/E Architectures – Zonal/Centralized will be an added advantage
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical information effectively.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering automotive projects from concept to production.
Education & Experience
• B Tech/BE in, Electronics/Electrical /Computer science
• 12+ years of relevant working experience in developing solutions for Automotive products.
