S A Automotive & Tyres Limited based in Auckland offer repairs and services for all kinds of trucks and light vehicles. We also stock leading tyre brands for our customers. We do repairs and services for WOF, COF Repairs, and also offer pre-COF checks to ensure your heavy vehicle is up to NZTA standards. Our forces are to always be a one stop shop for all our customers while delivering a better service.
To qualify for this role, you must have either a minimum of 2 years of Automotive mechanical experience or a minimum of Level 4 or higher certificate/diploma in Automotive engineering, motor vehicle trade, mechanical or relevant field.
This is a full-time permanent role with a minimum of 32 hours per week and the pay rate for this position will be 33.70 NZD per hour, with 3x Automotive Mechanic positions available.
Key Responsibilities include, but not Limited to:
Conducting routine maintenance checks on vehicles, including oil changes, tyre rotations, and brake inspections.
Diagnosing complex mechanical issues and implementing effective solutions.
Interpret diagnostic test results and determine appropriate repair actions.
Repairing or replacing faulty components, such as engines, transmissions, or brake systems.
Conducting thorough inspections to identify any potential safety hazards or issues.
Providing accurate and timely reports on the condition of vehicles and any repair work
undertaken.
Ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and guidelines.
Offering exceptional customer service by addressing client concerns and queries professionally.
Explain repair procedures and costs to customers in a clear and professional manner.
Maintain accurate records of repairs, services, and parts used.
Keep track of work orders and ensure timely completion of all tasks.
Perform final inspections on repaired vehicles to verify that all work meets quality standards.
Maintains, tests and repairs engines and the mechanical parts of motor vehicles such as
transmissions, suspension, steering and brakes.
Additional duties may be assigned by employer from time to time.
Pay: $33.70 NZD per hour.
