Job Description
Caravan AB Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Licensed Truck Mechanic to be responsible for fleet maintenance, diagnosis and repair of various trucks & trailers. We offer an excellent hourly wage, competitive benefits and a guaranteed 40 hours/week.
Day Shift available available, Monday - Friday.
JOB DUTIES
Our Fleet mainly consists of Volvo VNL and VNR's, dry and reefer trailers, and your duties will include, but not be limited to:
• Inspecting and testing mechanical units, such as engines, transmissions, axles and brake systems, to locate faults and malfunctions.
• Diagnosing faults or malfunctions and confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit.
• Repairing or replacing mechanical units or components using hands and power tools, test and adjusting units to specifications for proper performance.
• Completing reports to record problems and work performed.
REQUIREMENTS
• Licensed Mechanic
• AZ or DZ driving license is an asset.
• Interpersonal Skills (working effectively with others)
• Problem solving & critical thinking skills
• Safety Conscious
• PC literate & Ability to work on a tablet
