An exciting opportunity has arisen! JATO are seeking an Automotive Researcher to join the Research team based in India
Ideally, we are looking for an individual based in Indore.
As an Automotive Researcher you will be responsible for collecting and inputtingvolumes data from the automotive industry to enhance the official Registration figures and to improve the quality of existing data and enhance the volumes data of the local market
Additionally, you will create detailed profiles for all the Dealers officially appointed by OEMs.
We are looking for an individual who has previous automotive experience within a client focused specialist environment or a strong interest within the automotive.
The successful individual will have an analytical approach to data collection in addition to being self-motivated.
Key Responsibilities- Build and maintain contacts within the automotive industry (both at OEM and dealer & local RTO level)
- Liaise with automotive manufacturers/dealers/RTO’s to collect volumes and model mix data on a monthly basis
- Liaise with other data suppliers, trade organisations, and dealers to gain additional information about the automobile industry
- Provide company with complete sales and/or registration data at version Level for Passenger cars, 2Wheeler & Commercial vehicles industry
- Actively find new and better ways of collecting information to help enhance the official sales / registration data
- Monitor the quality of the Historical and current Volumes data on the local market and report any anomalies for correction
- Collecting data in a timely manner and input of data into our database using JATO’s software and maintaining an up-to-date and complete database
- Maintaining the utmost levels of confidentiality and discretion with dealing with company and client information
- Follow and attend market events for market knowledge and developing contactsKey Requirements- Must have worked within the automotive industry within OEM/multi-brand dealer environment within a client focused, specialist environment
- Must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Knowledge of the local car market and a working knowledge of the terms used to describe vehicles is essential
- Must have exceptional communication skills, verbal and written in English and local language
- Must have the ability to input large amounts of data into systems or spreadsheets (essential)
- Must be self-motivated, confident and results driven, as most of this work will be taken independently
- The ability to prioritise workloads and respond to tight deadlines
- Experience of working remotely or independently,and be willing to travel
- Advanced Excel knowledge (creating pivot tables and V-lookups
