Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor / Consultant to join our fast-paced dealership team. Duties
Greet customers warmly and listen carefully to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs
Explain repair procedures, estimates, and recommended services clearly and transparently
Prepare detailed service estimates using auto estimating and service writing software
Upsell additional maintenance or repairs that enhance vehicle safety and performance while respecting customer budgets
Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of services
Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments efficiently while maintaining confidentiality
Maintain detailed records of all service activities, customer interactions, and work orders
Skills
Proven dealership experience with a strong understanding of automotive service management
Extensive mechanic experience with knowledge of automotive diagnostics and repairs across various systems including transmissions, brakes, suspensions, oil changes, alignments, tire services, diesel engines, shocks & struts, air brakes
Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients
Skilled in auto estimating software and service writing processes
Ability to upsell effectively while maintaining integrity and customer trust
Mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures including oil changes and tire services
