We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Automotive Technician to join our dynamic service team at our state-of-the-art Princeton, NJ location. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles with precision and efficiency. Duties
Perform comprehensive diagnostics using advanced automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
Conduct repairs on various systems including powertrain, transmissions, electrical systems, and diesel engines.
Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems.
Repair or replace components such as belts, hoses, brakes, suspension parts, and engine assemblies.
Perform wheel alignments, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibrations, and vehicle maintenance services.
Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized tools to execute repairs efficiently.
Interpret auto estimating reports to ensure accurate scope of work and communicate findings clearly to customers.
Maintain detailed service records for each vehicle serviced in compliance with dealership standards.
Assist in training junior technicians and contribute to a collaborative team environment focused on quality workmanship.
Stay updated on the latest automotive repair techniques, industry standards, and technological advancements.
Requirements
Proven dealership experience or equivalent service technician background with a strong mechanical foundation.
Demonstrated expertise in automotive diagnostics, schematics interpretation, and electrical systems troubleshooting.
Experience working with VW vehicles or similar makes is preferred.
Knowledge of ADAS calibration procedures and alignment techniques is highly desirable.
Proficiency with automotive repair tools including hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic scanners.
Familiarity with automotive service processes such as auto estimating and vehicle maintenance procedures.
Strong understanding of powertrain components, transmissions, diesel engines, and automotive electrical systems.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
Valid technician certification or relevant ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certifications are advantageous. Pay: $80,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
