Hi All,
We are looking for an experienced and committed person for our software team within product development at the Chennai location
In your role as a project manager for software development, you will be responsible for exciting activities related to the implementation of software tasks while keeping an eye on time, costs and quality. You will be supported by a team of software developers who will guide you professionally.
Your main tasks are
• Software project management for automotive systems
• Planning of software development activities and responsibility for compliance with costs, quality and deadlines
• Create and monitor project metrics
• Design of an agile software development process that can be adapted to the project, team and organizational structure.
• Technical management of an international development team
• Coordination of software-specific topics with external customers (e.g. deadlines, technical concepts)
• Cross-departmental coordination with hardware and system developers
• Concept creation for new projects
• Driving software quality assurance activities
• Drive requirements for Safety & Cybersecurity
• Manage software development to meet rapidly evolving business needs
• Planning the annual budget of the projects based on the business/engineering vision
In your function, you will work closely in a team with product developers at various locations as well as with experts from the field of system development.
Your Skills
• Successfully completed studies as an engineer in the field of technical computer science, electrical engineering or a comparable qualification
• Experience in technical project management & planning releases
• Professional experience in automotive software development or similar areas
• Very good communication in English and German
• Personal initiative and assertiveness
• Very good problem-solving skills
• Experience communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels across multiple departments
• Good knowledge of the following methods/tools is desirable:
• o Project planning e.g. with MS Project
• o C programming language or model-based software development
• o Automotive SPICE
• o AUTOSAR
• o Functional safety (ISO26262)
• o Certification as PMI or similar
