Job Description
The Business Analytics Manager provides functional leadership and direction to team(s) while acting as an individual contributor. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge through provision of value-added perspectives or advisory services. May contribute to the development of new techniques, models and plans within area of expertise. Excellent communication and diplomacy skills are required. Generally has responsibility for volume, quality, timeliness of end results and shared responsibility for planning and budgets. Work affects an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family.
Responsibilities:
Interact regularly with business partners to understand their strategic priorities, develop context, proactively design and propose analytical solutions
Understand P&L of the business, tie back analytical solution to the business question / KPI.
Create compelling analytical strategy and insights document that connect people to the solutions, driving financial outcomes and better business decisions.
Be part of USPBA team. Proactively develop talent.
Institutionalize knowledge within the team. Anticipate business demands and be agile to respond to them
Translate data into consumer or customer behavioral insights to drive targeting and segmentation strategies, and communicate clearly and effectively to business partners and senior leaders all findings
Ensures analytics drive appropriate marketing investment decisions and marketing plan activities
Analyzes performance of marketing programs and business initiatives
Ensures analysis drives appropriate marketing investment decisions and marketing plan activities
Forecasting includes creation of key indicator curves and indices
Makes and implements recommendations through the use of data analysis and segmentation methodologies
Integrates key profitability drivers and measures of success make pricing offer recommendations and performs adhoc analytical requests
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Qualifications:
8+ years of experience
Advanced analytical and business strategy skills
Effective communication skills
Ability to present to business partners and/or leaders to gain approvals
Project and process management skills
Excellent written and verbal communications skill
Experience with a prior focus in financial services analytics
Solid organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects at one time
Self-starter who also has a demonstrated ability to work successfully in team environment and drive
Education:
Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience
