JOB PURPOSE:
Strategy Implementation
• Drive and manage India business performance through regular assets pipeline meetings
• Coordinate and manage funding plans for India taking into account business strategy, risk and regulatory requirements
• Develop and produce customer / transactional analytics to support decision making across Coverage and Products
• Lead the strategy development and implementation for FAB India including Coverage, Product, Funding, Operational and footprint
• Manage and implement key strategic initiatives for India; and to ensure effective alignment into the CIB strategy
Customer Franchise and Network Build
• Implement customer-related initiatives together with Business Management (Regional Office in Asia) & (Head Office in UAE) - e.g. Project Lighthouse, Project 1+
• Develop and produce customer / transactional analytics to support decision making across Coverage and Products
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Strategy and Implementation
• Lead the strategy development and implementation for FAB India including Coverage, Product, Funding, Operational and footprint
• Manage and implement key strategic initiatives for India; and to ensure effective alignment into the CIB strategy
• Identify priorities together with FAB India and Asia Leadership and revisit them regularly to assess progress; act as a key thought partner, brainstorming & identifying solutions to challenges
• Provide oversight to the delivery of strategic initiatives and manage long-term, cross-organizational projects
• Align FAB India Strategy and its implementation to FAB Group’s overall objectives and plans
• Plan and manage leadership team retreats, developing objectives and agenda
Strategic Cascade for FAB India franchise
• Enhance overall business performance by providing strategic and holistic lens in areas such as organizational governance and policies, systems, processes, & procedures
• Integrate strategic inputs to support the development of a robust annual budget resulting in a meaningful performance scorecard for FAB India
• Develop and cascade the CIB balanced scorecard to the various departments in collaboration with Business Management in Asia & Head Office
• Develop and produce customer / transactional analytics to support decision making across Coverage and Products
• Overlay strategic intent of FAB India CEO to identify gaps in current India governance structure and implement changes/workarounds in compliance with rest of FAB Group
Customer Franchise and Network
• Identify gaps and pathways forward to build a successful customer franchise in India and across our network by working with Coverage Heads and Product Heads
• Implement customer-related initiatives together with Business Management (Regional & Head Office) in India – e.g. Project Lighthouse, Project 1+
• Champion the implementation of the GRM business model for India
Communication and Internal Business Connectivity
• Provide communications support to FAB India CEO: reports, memos, presentations, internal and external communications
• Connect and liaise across departments on issues, challenges and pathways forward related to India & Group strategy, implementation and performance
• Drive India employee culture together with HR in line with the targets and FAB’s corporate values
India Governance
• Being SPOC for Corporate Governance for India, align the FAB India Governance structure with that of FAB Group’s Governance structure and implement the changes accordingly
• Coordinate with respective departments to ensure all periodic reviews as described in Governance charter are performed on time and submitted to Group
• Liaise with the Group Governance Team and ensure that all Governance related queries arising for FAB India are answered correctly
• Submit India Governance quarterly returns to Group Governance Team
• Connect and liaise across departments on Governance related issues, challenges and pathways forward related to India & Group strategy, implementation and performance
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Finance or relevant discipline. MBA is a plus.
• 8-12 years of experience in similar capacity, preferably with international experience
• Experience working in a matrix organisation structure
• Extensive budgeting, forecasting and business planning experience involving interaction with senior management
• Knowledge of the banking sector, and FAB’s products and business strategy
• Good knowledge of the regulatory requirements, standards and compliance policies for wholesale banking
