Introduction:
• Client Financing Lead will be responsible for ensuring exposure risk is mitigated in accordance with specific controls
• Breaks Management for Client Financing trades
• Have good understanding on Client Financing products and front to back knowledge of the order flows. The expectation is that the role holder will become a subject matter expert for all the Financing flows within Barclays.
• Focus on keys controls to support this expanding business whilst allowing it to continue to develop.
• The candidate will also be part of a business critical team that is focused on building the firms capabilities in Secured Financing
• Perform deep-dive analysis and have the system knowledge and technical ability to pinpoint root cause(s)
What will you be doing?
• Working within a control focused environment, with processes that are performed at the highest level, minimising any operational risk and closing key breaks in a timely manner
• Manage and effectively resolve all Equity Finance queries from assigned client group within a pre-agreed period.
• Uphold the controls and procedures for the team, review and update as necessary.
• Build strong relationships with various Ops teams and Front office, so the ability to communicate issues/breaks with reasoned and detailed argument. This could be verbally or in writing
• Have the ability to comprehend and suitably respond to detailed enquiries from Global external clients, relating to complex trade positions and discrepancy resolution.
• Be able to make timely decisions relating to risk mitigation vs. client service when dealing with escalations from junior team members
• Overlay onto a process, roles and responsibilities, technology, inputs and outputs
• Overlay controls, metrics and key constraints at each stage of the process.
• Able to work with front to back functions, in collaborations with Technology and the Business to agree, prioritise and deliver solutions
