Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Database Engineer to join our data engineering team in Mumbai. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, along with working knowledge of Oracle Cloud, Python scripting, ETL processes, Big Data technologies, and Data Warehousing. Knowledge of SAS (Statistical Analysis System) is a plus and will be beneficial in working with analytics and reporting teams. This role also demands excellent communication skills to interact with data stakeholders and translate business needs into effective technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and optimize Oracle database solutions using SQL and PL/SQL.
Implement and manage applications on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
Write Python scripts for data automation, transformation, and validation.
Apply Big Data principles to support large-scale data processing needs.
Design and maintain robust ETL workflows and data pipelines.
Build and support Data Warehouse solutions ensuring performance and reliability.
Collaborate with technical and business teams, especially data stakeholders, to understand and fulfill data requirements.
Leverage SAS knowledge (if applicable) to support data analysis and reporting initiatives.
Required Skills:
Strong proficiency in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
Experience with Oracle Cloud services.
Solid knowledge of Python programming.
Understanding of Big Data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
Experience with ETL tools and processes
Familiarity with Data Warehouse design and optimization.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across teams.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Preferred Skills:
Experience with SAS for data analysis, reporting, or integration.
Background in data analytics, data modeling, or performance tuning.
Prior work experience as business consultant, interaction with multiple stakeholders
