Responsibilities
• Translate deal documents into accurate accounting records that reflect deal economics and comply with accounting standards, ensuring timely entry into the accounting system.
• Identify and record investment proceeds, including principal, interest, and sales, with precision and timeliness.
• Process deal lifecycle events such as credit events, reorganizations, and exits, ensuring accurate booking in the accounting system.
• Manage cash movements through complex legal entity structures, ensuring proper accounting and compliance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to fund and close private deal transactions, maintaining cash positioning within tight deadlines.
• Forecast available cash balances and monitor for account overdrafts across various currencies.
• Participate in cross-functional initiatives to enhance the private deal workflow and develop team members through effective training and resource management.
Qualifications
• Must-Have:
• 9–11 years of relevant experience in asset management, investment banking, or financial services.
• Strong background in Investment Accounting and Operations, particularly with Alternative Investments such as Private Credit, Real Assets, and Private Equity.
• Proficient in processing transactions and accounting entries in Advent Geneva and Global World Investor.
• Expertise in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, pivot tables, and formulas.
• Bachelor’s degree required; CPA certification preferred.
• Nice-to-Have:
• Experience with SharePoint, Power BI, SQL, and VBA.
• Demonstrated track record of process improvement and managing complex fund structures.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively.
