We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of AVP GTRF Product Risk GSC'S
Department Overview:
The GTRF Offboarding Team is based in Bangalore and is part of the wider Chief Control Office within HSBC Global Trade and Receivables Finance (GTRF).
GTRF is responsible for core trade services, receivables finance, supply chain, commodity and structured trade finance and forfaiting businesses across the Group. It serves as a core service provider for Commercial (CMB) and Global Banking (GBM customers.
The Offboarding team is primarily responsible for managing all aspects of client exit execution for both CMB and GBM clients.
Global Trade and Receivables Finance (GTRF) is a key strategic business for the HSBC Group within Commercial Banking with almost 150 years of history. It is the largest international trade bank, with an unrivalled global presence and access to over +0 per cent of the world's global capital flows. GTRF provides trade finance and risk mitigation solutions to customers all over the world, from Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) through to large corporates and multinationals. GTRF's key product lines include Core Trade Services, Receivables Finance, Supply Chain Finance, Trade Loans, Commodity Trade Finance and Portfolio Management & Distribution.
Responsibilities:
• Supporting the ongoing effectiveness and management of GTRF Product Risk's first line Non-Financial Risk capabilities, providing guidance and support to stakeholders.
• Helping maintain a robust and efficient control environment across GTRF to ensure good operational, financial and project management and compliance with HSBC policy and procedures, together with early identification and effective resolution or escalation of issues that arise.
• Developing and maintaining effective Risk Profile Management which includes proactive management of live product risks, Risk and Control Assessment (RCA) support, validation, and development of Key Control Indicators (KCI).
• Providing effective analysis and governance reporting, tracking of outstanding issues and actions.
• Identifying and sharing non-financial risk management best practice across other teams and business stakeholders.
• Proactively challenging practices / controls operated by offshore functions, identifying gaps, and making recommendations where the control environment can be improved.
• Assist the GTRF Policy and Governance Teams with the management and development of Policy and Procedure related controls.
• Support with the management of the GTRF Policy Intranet Site that hosts GTRF FIM Policy and Global Operating Procedures. Requirements
• Strong GTRF Product or GTRF Services Knowledge.
• Good understanding of the Group's Non-Financial Risk Framework.
• Good understanding of Non-Financial risks and potential mitigating actions, industry / good practices and related risk/control frameworks.
• Sound and in-depth knowledge of the operational risk & control environment and disciplines.
• Strong analytical skills especially with regards to understanding business risk, processes, procedures and operational controls
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritise and work independently under pressure within a team environment.
• Ability to use strong judgmental skills to identify and resolve complex problems whilst adhering to timelines and quality.
• Good project management skills with experience involving project-based deliverables.
• Good interpersonal skills required, with an ability to collaborate with colleagues across segments and geographies being essential
