Hybrid Working
We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. We're flexible on how this works and it may continue to change and evolve. Depending on your team, typically this means that colleagues spend a minimum of between 20% to 60% of their time in the office, which could be over a week, a month or a quarter. However, some colleagues may choose to spend more time in the office over a typical period than their role type requires. Introduction:
• This role is part of the Private Banking Finance team and is responsible for delivering change in order to create capacity, improve the control environment and enhance colleague and stakeholder experience through analytics and automation.
• The role holder will support the Change Implementation Lead and will work with and support across teams and functions.
• An ideal candidate profile will be somebody who has a strong data analytical skills, knowledge of database tools (SQL Server), RPA / APA tools (for example Alteryx). Other coding languages (VBA, Python) will be an advantage.
• The candidate should have a strong understanding of Banking Financials, including the ability to interpret the Balance sheet and the P&L. The candidate is required to possess high degree of adaptability and independent thought process. A huge emphasis on innovation and application of technologies to solve real business problems will be fundamental as a key success parameter for the role.
What will you be doing?
• Understanding the finance processes and be able to identify opportunities for efficiencies and insight
• Comfortable handing and analysing large and complex data sets
• Be comfortable with and able to understand data flows across different client and general ledger systems
• Develop deep understanding of various data attributes / dimensions to build business relevant insights and analytics
• Drive appropriate levels of engagement with key stakeholders across the organisation to deliver projects and/or devise solutions

• Strategic thinking: Able to take a long term view on complex problems, breaking them down and performing research and analysis in order to arrive at robust and thoroughly considered solutions. Analysis of business data, pilot results may be required to inform delivery of solutions

• Work collaboratively: Able to work effectively and collaboratively with colleagues at all levels of seniority across the business, ensuring successful project delivery

• Self-motivated, capable of working independently, and to a high standard;
• Good control awareness including understanding the key controls required in a Bank

• Educated to degree level or equivalent and/or has an appropriate professional qualification
